Google is obviously the search engine of choice for a majority of internet searchers, but this BoingBoing post questions whether they are really the most fabulous search engine around. The competition? Yahoo!

Yahoo is matching, feature for feature, all of the new things that Google has been coming out with of late. The Google purchase of Blogger? Yahoo has Yahoo 360. 1 GB of space in gmail? Yahoo!Mail has upped its space to 1 GB as well. Google has Picasa…but Yahoo has Flickr.

In addition, Yahoo has plenty that Google hasn’t integrated yet: RSS is integrated fully into the Yahoo site, a search engine to search online movies, and another search engine that indexes Creative Commons material.

It makes you wonder - next year, will Google still be King, or will Yahoo regain the throne?

Blogger isn’t working again…
