My shiny discovery of the day, Shiira, a new open source browser built on Web Kit, aims to be Safari, but better. I haven’t had a chance to test it out yet, seeing as I’m at work and thus Mac-less, but the screenshots and features look awesome enough that I think they’ve succeeded.

My favorite feature? Tab Exposé, which allows you to view your tabs in thumbnails, much the way Exposé works on the OS X operating system.

I switched from Safari to Firefox some time ago; Firefox just worked better for me. But if Shiira is as cool as it looks, I may be switching again.
