cataloging anime & manga
Shocking as it may seem, there isn’t a whole lot of call for cataloging manga in the chemicals and energy world, but I have listened to the problems with it from my mother. Manga is the single most popular material she carries in her middle school library, and most of her students weren’t making the effort to find them in the 700s, where comic books are shelved according to Dewey (disclaimer: I only use the 500s and 600s in my library and I’m working from memory. It’s entirely possible I’m off with the range). So she moved them to a shelf on their own.
She doesn’t actually catalog most of her manga, however, as she buys them precataloged by Baker & Taylor.
